Coach Dillion Roop serves as Director of Baseball Operations and CFO for the Grays organization. With a rich background in both playing and mentoring, Coach Dillion brings a wealth of experience to his role, helping Grays players reach their full potential.
Coach Dillion’s athletic journey began at Buckhorn High School, where he was a standout four-year varsity player. His talent and hard work earned him a scholarship to Alabama A&M University, where he became a four-year Division I starter behind the plate.
In his current role, Coach Dillion works hands-on with all players across the organization, focusing on skill development, technical refinement, and mental preparation. He also plays a key role in guiding players through the college and professional placement process, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed at the next level.
Coach Dillion led the way with the Grays class of 2024, which saw 47 players commit to the next level with 36 of them committing to D1 schools and 15 committing to power conference programs. The Grays class of 2024 also signed for $1.2 million in MLB draft signing bonuses.
