Chris Snusz is a distinguished figure in the world of amateur and professional baseball, renowned for his leadership, mentorship, and contributions to player development.
A Division I standout, Coach Snusz finished his collegiate career at Mercyhurst University, where he was drafted in the 19th round of the 1995 MLB Draft.
Over the course of a 12-year professional playing career, Coach Chris competed across various levels of baseball, ultimately reaching AAA in the Phillies, Expos, Indians, and Pirates organizations.
In 2007, he began guiding the East Coast Grays as one of the pioneering organizations on the Perfect Game circuit. Under his leadership, the Grays became a prominent force in showcasing top-tier talent at national events, helping players gain exposure and opportunities across the country. Throughout his coaching career, Coach Snusz has mentored hundreds of players, many of whom earned Division I scholarships and became MLB draft selections.
His impact extends beyond development; Coach Chris has been instrumental in shaping the careers of 18 players who advanced to the Major Leagues, including notable stars such as Matt Harvey, Pete Alonso, Jake Cronenworth, Jonah Heim, and Ernie Clement—each of whom has achieved All-Star status or Gold Glove recognition.
Coach Snusz continues to operate as an advisor to the Grays and our players, helping place kids at the next level, as well as working as a scout for the Chicago Cubs organization and the catching coach at SUNY Niagara.
